Ethan Rector is a trusts and estates and business attorney with Cook Rector Pearce, a firm he co-owns with offices in Colorado Springs, Littleton, and Woodland Park.
Ethan represents clients in all areas of estate planning, including planning for family-owned businesses, asset protection planning, charitable planning, tax planning, and special needs planning, as well as in estate and trust administration matters. He also assists individuals and privately-held businesses in a variety of corporate matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, taxation, mergers & acquisitions, and succession planning.
Ethan graduated from the University of Southern California, located in Los Angeles, CA, with B.A. in 2003 and received his law degree from Marquette University Law School, located in Milwaukee, WI in 2010. Before becoming a partner in Cook Rector Law, he was affiliated with Berenbaum Weinshienk PC and then Spencer Fane LLP. He has lived in the Pikes Peak Region for the last 10 years with his wife Heidi, a registered nurse. They have four children: Kailey, 17; Samantha, 12; Wyatt, 7; and Reid, 3.
When not spending time with his family, Ethan has served a variety of non-profits. He is a former president of the Pikes Peak Rotary Club in Woodland Park, CO; and spent 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Arc Pikes Peak Region, a local chapter of a national organization that meets the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
